Newly registered LLLL domain names in dot NET or dot COM aren’t likely getting any traffic or parking income, so why not have fun with them!? I’m setting up a little interactive script for some of my LLLL names where visitors can give the domain a name based on the four letter acronymn.
Try it out at bkuu.net or nkaw.com.
If you leave an email (kept private), then the gravatar will display if available, if not, well… toast, of course. If you leave a site, it has to be another LLLL domain name.
Oh, and you can install the script yourself on your own names. Have Fun!

… or so I hope. Honestly, why should I pimp myself out to the social bookmarking sites? They take my links, my descriptions, my comments, semantic tags, feedback, etc… and they get all the venture capital.
I got it! Combine wordpress and phpLD — free blogging software with free directory software — and DIY! You’ve got your links on your domains. Then, get the traffic to flow.
I’ve got a version going now at jmbo.net. I’m adding link-tagging next compliments of Wordpress’s new tagging ability…

Now that the LLLL.com names have been unavailable for registering and their prices are soaring among the various domain aftermarkets (Namepros, DigitalPoint, TDNAM, Snapnames, SitePoint, Sedo and Namejet) is attention turning toward the 5L names? I’ve seen not a few selling for a decent ROI recently in the forums.
Now I’m watching this one, Nibbo.com.

…in a manner of speaking. There is nothing hotter right now in the world of Domaining than four-letter dot coms, or LLLL.com as they’re abbreviated. Since the buy-out last fall, no one can register one of these four letter beauties (actually the last ones to go were rather ugly). So where do you get them? Forums. Specifically, Digital Point and Namepros. Both fantastic places to buy and sell these hot items right now.
